Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Darmstadt

The University and State Library Darmstadt (ULB) is one of the biggest academic and public libraries in Germany. It is located in the heart of the city of Darmstadt in the state of Hesse. The library has a total of more than 2.4 million print and digital volumes, with a constantly growing e-book collection and more than 1.7 million magazines and newspapers. The library provides top-notch research facilities and study resources and offers full library services to both students and the general public. The ULB has a great variety of unique collections such as the Feueramter Collection, which contains historic detective novels, detective magazines, and comic books. The library also offers a number of special services, such as workshops, lectures, book & film screenings, and reading rooms. The library is open during the day and late in the evenings, making it accessible to students and all library users.
