The Transamerica Pyramid is an iconic aspect of the San Francisco skyline. Located in the historic Financial District, it is the tallest skyscraper in San Francisco and the second tallest in California. Standing at 853 feet, this triangular skyscraper was designed to emulate the incredible hills of San Francisco and is a major landmark in the city. Its top roof is also designed to be illuminated during special occasions, making it an iconic sight for travelers and photographers alike. However, for those brave enough, there are some spectacular vantage points looking up at the Pyramid from Financial District streets.
