Tiny Happy Men is a small sculpture located in Tucson Park, in the Little Village Neighborhood of Chicago. Created by local Mexican-American artist Benito Huerta in 1995, the sculpture consists of four small aluminum figures, each representing an aspect of teamwork and community. It symbolizes the contributions of Mexican-American immigrants to the city of Chicago. Interestingly, the sculpture is often popularly referred to as “Wrestling Guys” due to the 'fighting' pose of the figures. The sculpture sits atop a concrete platform that features Aztec designs that Huerta included to represent the long history of Mexican culture in the region. The piece is a great example of public art found in the city, and offers a unique insight into the Mexican-American community.
