The Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque is located in the city of Shah Alam, Malaysia, and is considered one of the largest mosques in Southeast Asia. It was built in 1988, and is named after the 11th Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King of Malaysia). It can accommodate up to 24,000 worshippers, set in 103 acres of landscaped gardens with 13 domes, a 41m-tall minaret, and a striking blue and silver dome. Entry to the mosque is free and it is open to visitors (non-Muslim and Muslim) daily (except on Friday mornings, which is reserved for Muslim worshippers). The skyline of Shah Alam can be seen from one of the four main minarets, which rise to a height of 148 meters. The mosque is an excellent example of contemporary Islamic architecture, making it a popular destination for visitors and photographers alike. It is a great place to relax and explore, while also taking in the views of its sprawling gardens.
