📍 Germany
The Sepulchral Chapel on Württemberg hill is one of Stuttgart’s most iconic historical landmarks. This gothic chapel, also known as the Grabkapelle, was designed by Christian Ludwig von Zanth in the early 1800s and is enclosed in a cemetery. The chapel’s picturesque architecture, with its graceful pinnacles and intricate sculptures, offers visitors a truly breathtaking sight. Inside, visitors can find tombs that house the remains of many of the local princes and princesses. There is also an organ in the chapel, which is said to play at random intervals throughout the day. The surrounding cemetery is a lovely spot for a stroll, offering spectacular views of the city and beyond. Tourists can reach this landmark by taking the U-Bahn to the Marien Platz or bus number 79 to the Schnarrenberg Straße stop.
