📍 China
The Porcelain Tower of Nanjing, also known as the Porcelain Pagoda or the Bao'ensi Tower, is a seven story tower with a circumference of over 300ft located in Nanjing, China. It was originally built around 1412 during the Ming dynasty as an imperial workshop and warehouse for porcelain. The Tower was destroyed during late Qing dynasty and WWII and the only remaining portion is the central pavilion. The Pavilion is open to visitors and is surrounded by a picturesque garden with scenic views and various pieces of handicraft. There is also a museum within the ground floor of the pavilion. The Porcelain Tower is both culturally and historically important, with architecture that still stands out from the modern skyline of Nanjing.
