Mussel Rock is an extraordinary and unique landmark located on the San Andreas Fault on the cliffs of Daly City, California. It is a rock formation with three identified columns of various sizes, created by wave action and seismic movements over millions of years. It is situated near the mouth of Sanchez Creek, right on the San Francisco Bay, and can be seen from the beach and parking area on the east side of Highway 1. This is a great place to watch the sun setting over the ocean, with its breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the beautiful coastline. Watch out for the slippery rocks and seals below while climbing up the trail. Bring a camera to snap pictures of the amazing views and to capture the natural beauty!
