La Islita is a small beach cove, situated in the northwestern corner of the Las Quetros Bay just northwest of San Martín de los Andes, Argentina on the shores of beautiful Lake Lácar. It is Mapuche territory, so you must pay an entrance fee in any type of transport in which you access
It can be reached by car, bicycle along the path indicated on the map; it can also be reached on foot from the city center (the trailhead is behind the water treatment plant). It is a slightly steep path (up to the Bandurrias viewpoint) but it can be done without problems. The beach is made of large stones. From the main path to the beach the path is steep, making the return a bit complicated.
