The Embalse de Contreras is a reservoir located in Villargordo del Cabriel, Valencia, Spain. It is the largest reservoir in the Valencian Community and an important source of irrigation for a large area. It is an impressive display of nature, serene and tranquil in its beauty, surrounded by tall pine trees, its quiet waters can be enjoyed by beginners and experienced water sports enthusiasts. A great way to get closer to the reservoir is to take a walk in the nearby Las Tres Calas Natural Park, you can also enjoy some amazing views of the valley of Villargordo del Cabriel. The views from the place are incredible, you need to travel along the old national highway III to get there. You can stop calmly since there is an area secluded from the road. Take special caution when crossing it.
