Cliff Palace is a breathtaking ancient site located in Mesa Verde National Park in United States. Built by ancestral Puebloans over 600 years ago, it is the largest cliff dwelling in North America. The dramatic site was constructed from sandstone and wooden beams, featuring around 150 rooms and 23 kivas. Cliff Palace is located in a alcove high in a sheer cliff face, and overlooks the incredible beauty of the Cliff Canyon below. Visitors can explore the ruins, walk on its trails and admire its captivating remains of a once-thriving civilization that offers an amazing insight into the past. Prominent structures include four-story towers and looped structures, as well as plazas and a spring-house. As you explore this remarkable place, look out for the pictographs that the Puebloans created to decorate their dwellings.
