Constructed between 1528 and 1782, it was designed by Diego de Siloé, Juan Gómez de Mora and Alonso de Berruguete. It features a Baroque neoclassic façade and two bell towers. Inside, the cathedral features classic Baroque and Rococo décor, as well as a magnificent golden Retable in the main chapel. The most impressive element is the richly decorated Nave, featuring ornamented and gilded golden moldings and vibrant painted walls. The cathedral also houses a museum and many artworks, including the tomb of Alonso Cano.
