Inside, the basilica features an ornate marble facade, sprawling chapels and an impressive network of frescoes and artwork. The highlight of the interior, however, is its 15th century pulpit, sculpted by the renowned Renaissance artist Giovanni Pisano. The basilica and its grounds are open to the public, with tours taking place daily. Visitors will also find an adjoining, peaceful garden which has the remains of St. Catherine's house.
