Tour aux figures

Tour aux Figures is a monument in Issy-les-Moulineaux, along the Seine river in western Paris and the most visible statue in the city. It was built in 1889 to commemorate the 450-year anniversary of the city. The 20-meter-high tower is decorated with 14 statues of historical figures and a study of the city's coat of arms. It stands at the center of an arc of four Iron Age rock, which is surrounded by a ziggurat and landscaped gardens. It makes for an extraordinary visit on a sun-kissed day. The monument is also visible from the Eiffel Tower, the longest standing one in France. An impressive sight framed by the modern bridge and old architecture, Tour aux Figures is definitely the pride of Issy-les-Moulineaux!
