
Tallow Beach is a stunning stretch of coastline, located east of Byron Bay in New South Wales, Australia. Lined with towering Norfolk Island Pine trees, it stretches approximately 4km between Cape Byron and Broken Head. This beautiful beach offers a chance to witness incredible scenic views, surf breaks and a calm lagoon. With strong Australian Bluebottle stings and powerful rip currents, the beach is surrounded by safety signs, so be sure to keep near the shoreline. There is a diverse array of wildlife, with some seasonal whales, turtles and rays visible along the coast. The beach offers plenty of chances to hike, surf and swim, share a picnic or just breathe in the sea breeze and appreciate the endless expanse of sand and sky.
