St. Peter's Church

St Peter's Church is a charming onion-domed Orthodox church in the grounds of Oranienbaum-Wörlitz, a picturesque World Heritage complex in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Built in 909, the church has colorful frescos and lavish iconography in its interior. Visitors are encouraged to take a stroll through the tranquil gardens surrounding the church, filled with sculptures, fountains, and a system of canals. A notable feature of the church is the grand Baroque-style bell towers, which can be seen far and wide. Oranienbaum-Wölrtz is also home to an 18th-century palace as well as a zoo, so there's plenty to explore on a day trip.
