South Mission Beach is a picturesque coastal town located in tropical North Queensland, Australia. A stunning white-sand beach stretches from nearby Cardwell to Wongaling Beach. Popular activities include swimming, surfing, snorkeling, and kayaking in the crystal-clear waters, as well as fishing and sunbathing. A section of the flat, expansive beach is also used for 4WD driving. Near the beach are a few shops for supplies, and a few restaurants near where the beach joins the Esk River. There are also a few accommodation options available in South Mission Beach. Despite the town's small size, it is a popular getaway spot for both locals and tourists.
