Slot Moermond

Slot Moermond is a beautiful, 17th century castle located in the holiday town of Renesse in the Zeeland province of the Netherlands. Built on the edge of the Grevelingenmeer, Slot Moermond has an iconic windmill and a large water garden situated in front of the building. It is the perfect spot to capture the unique charm of the Zeeland landscape with its rolling hills, dunes, dikes and wetlands. There are several walking and biking trails that start from the castle leading out into the countryside. The on-site restaurant and café offer snacks and meals, as well as exceptional views of the pond. Inside the castle, visitors can explore restored rooms, antique furniture and artwork. There are also interactive digital exhibits throughout the building that take visitors back in time to learn more about the rich history of the Moermond family.
