Sete Cidades view

Sete Cidades Viewpoint is one of the most beautiful places in the Azores, and one of the most popular viewpoints. The view is of two beautiful lagoon lakes, one green and the other blue, separated by a small isthmus. The lake's picturesque setting is framed by rocky hills and the misty green of the surrounding forest. The lookout is particularly breathtaking at sunrise, when the warm golden light of the sun illuminates the sparkling water. Visitors often take boats to explore the lake and revel in the magnificence of the landscape. The area is home to a variety of lush vegetation and natural wonders such as caves and waterfalls.
