Punta San Francesco is a part of the rocky Promontory of Vieste, located in the province of Foggia, in the region of Puglia, Italy. The point is marked by a lighthouse, known as ‘Faraglione di San Francesco’, which was built in 1670 and reconstructed in 1860. Punta San Francesco provides stunning views of the Adriatic sea and is a popular destination for sightseeing and sunbathing. Here visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the beautiful beaches and picturesque natural surroundings. The nearby 16th century Castle of Vieste is also visible from here. There is a nearby car park, but it is best to explore this area on foot due to its narrow, winding paths. Visitors can also explore the many caves dotting the coast around Punta San Francesco.
