63rd Street Station, located in Philadelphia, United States, is an ornate railway station, built in the 1930s by the Pennsylvania Railroad. It was designed in a tour-de-force of Art Deco styling and grand design. The monumental building combines elements of the Classical Style, Moderne and Beaux Arts styles of architecture and is considered a fine example of American Art Deco. Inside, the waiting room in the station has a large rotunda on the second floor with huge murals depicting famous Pennsylvania scenes. On the platform, three murals by famous muralist Violet Oakley portray the early centuries of Philadelphia’s growth. 63rd Street Station is easily accessible by public transportation.
