Newcastle Castle

Newcastle Castle stands tall in the center of Newcastle upon Tyne. Built by Robert I de Brus in 1080, it has played an important role in many of Britain's most defining moments. Although much of the castle wall has been lost over the years, many original features remain including the inner bailey and barbican tower.
