Millennium Bridge
📍 从 Trig Lane Stairs, United Kingdom
The Millennium Bridge at the South Bank of the River Thames in Greater London is a beautiful suspension bridge which connects the Bankside area with the City. It is the first new bridge to be built across the Thames in London for more than a century. Construction began in 1998 and it opened in 2000. The slimmer design of the bridge makes a distinct statement in contrast to the other bridges along the Thames. The bridge is 223 meters long and 3 meters wide with a steel and glass design which makes for an impressive sight. Visitors usually enjoy walking across or simply strolling along the Thames and admiring the iconic view of the bridge. It is particularly beautiful during summer months when the lit up structures of the Tate Modern and the Globe Theater provide the perfect backdrop for photography.
