Marshall's Beach

Marshall’s Beach is a stunning little cove situated atop steep cliffs, and offers breathtaking views of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. The beach is accessible by foot, and the trail descends through a five-minute walk of winding stairs and rocky inclines. You can find the stairs with a "Marshall's Beach" sign before they begin. Once you reach the bottom, you'll be mesmerized by the shoreline and its rocky bluffs. Sea lions and seals abound and the beach itself is quite secluded since there is no parking at the top. As you stand and gaze at the iconic bridge that connects San Francisco to Marin County, you'll be wowed by the beautiful landscape. Keep an eye out for creative photographers as it’s a popular spot for photo ops, and take care to respect their privacy. Visitors are encouraged to practice safe social distancing and abide by all local laws. Please note that there is no lifeguard on duty at the beach, and always check the waves, riptides and currents before you go in.
