Makapu'u Lighthouse is a picturesque site located in the south-east corner of the island of Oahu in Honolulu, United States. This beautiful landmark offers prime views of the Pacific Ocean for visitors. The lighthouse is perched atop of a 300-foot high sea cliff. From the overlook, visitors can spot pods of spinner dolphins and can observe the various ocean channels, unending horizon, and the gorgeous Koko Head Volcano. Relax with a picnic lunch and catch sunset from the picturesque lighthouse. The lighthouse has an intriguing history and was made an attraction in the late 1800s. Other attractions nearby include; Makapu'u Beach, Makapu'u Tide Pools and numerous hiking trails. There is a small visitors center as well.
