Laeken Castle

Laeken Castle is a magnificent example of Neo-Classical architecture in Bruxelles, Belgium. It is the official residence of the Royal Family of Belgium. Located in the 25 hectare grounds of the Castle of Laeken park, the castle is surrounded by beautiful gardens, decorated in French and English style. Visitors can admire the calm and peaceful atmosphere of the park and the majestic beauty of the castle while strolling around its extensive grounds. Inside, the majestic gallery is a must-see with its awe-inspiring ceiling paintings by Louis Gallait. The complex also includes the royal greenhouses, a chapel and the royal mausoleum. The royal greenhouses are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and contain over 10,000 specimens of plants, flowers and trees. The chapel is also a must-see, with its impressive frescoes by Alphonse Watelet. Laeken Castle is open to visitors from late April to late October.
