The Kyoto Imperial Palace's Bridge of Takarabune is a stunning sloping bridge in the grounds of the Imperial Palace in Kyoto, Japan. Constructed back in 1823 by the 5th Tokugawa Shogun, it is widely considered a masterpiece of stone bridge architecture. The bridge is 3 meters in length and consists of 12 small connecting stones, and is positioned in the middle of a traditional, scenic garden. Taking a stroll across this bridge can be a wonderful experience. It is free to enter the grounds of the Imperial Palace, although photos are not allowed to be taken inside. The bridge itself makes an unforgettable picture, and can be accessed from the grounds of the palace.
