Karesuando Church

Located in the remote village of Karesuando, Norrbottens län, Sweden, lies the red wooden Karesuando Church. Built in the late 1700's, the Karesuando Church is the oldest still-in-use church in the Norrbottens county and is a key cultural and spiritual monument in the region. The church's reputation as a unique spectacle is brought to life by its bright red exterior, which would be quite striking on the horizon if not for its more prominent neighbor, the Kinnaså Church.
