Galleria Grande - La Venaria Reale

Galleria Grande - La Venaria Reale is a mansion located in Venaria Reale, Italy, about 8km from Turin. It was designed as a place for Duke of Savoy to party in extravagant fashion, and that is visible from the architecture. Galleria Grande is the main building in the residence, featuring grand frescoes and intricate wood carvings. It's opulent, U-shaped and has five stories. Around it can be found a garden and park with a canal, green meadows and ponds, stables, temples, palaces and a residential area. There is also the Church of St. Hubert, with an impressive Baroque façade. From the back of the palace a view unfolds of the mountain ranges in the near distance. The whole site is worth exploring and is classified as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Entrance fee is required to visit.
