Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs

The Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO) is a governmental agency located in the city of Groningen, the Netherlands. DUO is responsible for the financial administration of all educational institutions and student grants in the Netherlands. The main DUO office is located in the student city of Groningen. The office building is a modern and attractive building, built in 2008. There are 2 public parking lots (intermezzo and het kleine station) right opposite DUO, where you can easily park, or take public transport (bus lines 15, 45, 56 and 105). When exploring the area around the agency, you will come across a monument to the Dutch poet and Nobel Peace prize-winner, Jaap Stijlaart. Furthermore, you can visit the picturesque Martini church, one of the oldest buildings of Groningen, or the pretty Park 1 which is a great place for a walk. There's also the Oosterpoort, where the bigger music and theatrical events are hosted.
