Cinta Muraria - Mura Aragonesi

Cinta Muraria - Mura Aragonesi is one of the most impressive and well-preserved fortifications in Italy. This huge ancient wall lies in the city of Ostuni, near the south-eastern coast of Italy. Built by Spanish Aragonese between 15th and 16th centuries, it is the last and best-conserved part of the old fortifications. It stretches for nearly two miles from east to west and encircles the centre of the old town. Visitors can still explore some of the tunnels and embrasures of the walls. The view from the terrace on the eastern side offers a spectacular panorama of the historical part of Ostuni.
