Zugspitze, Germany, is the highest mountain in Germany with a peak of 2,962 m above sea level. On the peak you can find several glaciers and many hiking trails for all skill levels. During clear days, the view from the top is breathtaking and you can even catch a glimpse of Austria, Italy and Switzerland.
Hiking and skiing or snowboarding are the activities that hikers can do at Zugspitze. There is no actual trail to the peak but there are several trails that will lead you to the peak in a relatively easy way. You can find plenty of restaurants and other places in the area, but also a few souvenir shops. The views of the valley, Lake Eibsee, Germany-Austria border and other sights are phenomenal.
