Biltmore

Biltmore is a large luxury estate located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Built in 1895 by George Washington Vanderbilt II, the mansion and grounds are open to the public. Biltmore features 250 rooms that contain some of the most stunning and diverse collections of art and antiques in the country. The estate covers over 8,000 acres and features beautiful formal gardens and landscaping, including the Italian Garden. The Italian Garden is a formal Italian-style garden designed by Frederick Law Olmsted in 1895. The space consists of large statue-adorned terraces connected by grand stairs, colorful flowerbeds, and a large reflecting pool. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the gardens and enjoy the peace and serenity of the area.
