Ayuntamiento de Valencia

The Ayuntamiento de Valencia (Valencia City Hall) is a beautiful, picturesque building located in the heart of València. Built in the fifteenth century, it is the oldest City Hall in Spain, and features distinctive design features including neo-gothic, baroque and Rococo elements. During the 16th and 17th centuries, it was the centre of government and power with many influential people passing through its doors. Today, it still operates as the City Hall and houses many important municipal offices and assembly rooms. Visitors can admire its façade, made of brick and stone, and also visit the elegant courtyard known as the Patio del Palo. The interior offers wonderful decorations and works of art, and is home to various historical items and documents.
