Riomaggiore

Riomaggiore is one of the Italian fishing villages of the Cinque Terre, located on Liguria’s rocky coast of the Mediterranean. Riomaggiore is a postcard-perfect village, characterized by colorful architecture, narrow lanes and vineyards clinging to steeply terraced hillsides. The village also zigzagging alleyways overlooked by tall, colorful houses has a strong fishing tradition that is still going strong.

The Wave Breaker Viewpoint is a popular local spot offering a great view of the village, the sea and the mountains alongside. Located on the headland of the village, it is the perfect spot to get a photo of the five colorful villages. The viewpoint is one of the top places to take a picture of Riomaggiore, and it’s full of great angles to capture the village, the beach and the sea. From here, you can take in the views of the town, the beaches and the caves.
