It has been rebuilt twice since its construction, in 1378 and 1515 respectively. It is best known for ancient decapitation convicts, who were taken here for decapitation. It is now a popular destination for visitors and photographers alike, who take in its old world charm. Visitors can enjoy great views of the river, nearby Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre and its surrounding landscape. It makes a great place to have an enjoyable stroll or enjoy a picnic.
