Palazzo Bevilacqua

Palazzo Bevilacqua is a stunning example of the Baroque and Rococo architectural style for which the city of Bologna is famed for. With its ornate decorations and frescoes in the halls and drawing rooms, this imposing building is one of the most iconic in Bologna. On the façade, the famous motto "nobilitas scholastica et gentilia" can be read over the main entrance, due to the fact that this was the seat of a noble family and the university. Inside the palace there is also a beautiful 16th-century chapel, which is richly decorated with gold and colorful marble, and is home to a Madonna and Child sculpture. Palazzo Bevilacqua is a must-see for any visitor to Bologna, and the palace's impressive and historical interiors make it a photographer's favorite.
