The Himalayan Cherry Blossom in Don Kaeo, Thailand, is a truly magnificent sight. The entire mountain hillside is illuminated with a mesmerizing pink and white array of blooming flowers for a short period in springtime. While the beauty of the landscape attracts nature lovers and photographers alike, hikers are in for a treat too. Visitors have the opportunity to hike up the hill on well formed trails to get closer to the blossoms. Just a few hundred meters away is Wat Phra That Doi Suthep where you can visit famous Buddhist temples and take in the views of the misty city of Doi Suthep below. At the base of the hill is the Don Kaeo Tea Sanctuary. Tea has been grown on this hillside since the late 1800s, and the Don Kaeo Tea Sanctuary is still a popular spot for enjoying the taste of one of Thailand's best teas and a stroll in the tea gardens.
