Goldwell Open Air Museum

Goldwell Open Air Museum is a unique art installation located in the small desert town of Beatty, Nevada, USA. Its centerpiece is a giant sculpture of a sphinx, standing 8 metres tall and dubbed "The Last Supper" by its creator, Belgian artist Albert Szukalski. The Last Supper is surrounded by a collection of other sculptures - some found art, some colourful modern sculptures. Goldwell is a dreamlike oasis in the desert, and its vivid colours together with the vastness of the Nevada desert make for a remarkable photographic experience. It is open 24 hours a day and admission is free, although donations are appreciated.
