Glavnyy Khram Vooruzhonnykh Sil Rossii (Main Cathedral of Russia's Armed Forces), situated in Zelenaya Roshcha, Moscow, is an amazing tribute to the Russian Armed Forces. Built on the orders of Tsar Nicholas II in 1896 to honor the fallen heroes of the Russo-Japanese War, it has been beautifully restored and it is one of the highlights of Moscow's unparalleled military history. It is certainly worth a visit to appreciate its immaculate Neoclassical architecture and marble façade. Inside, you will find various military trophies, medals, and artifacts, as well as imposing murals and the dramatic Tomb of the Unknown Warrior. It's important to note that the entry to the Cathedral is free, though donations are accepted.
