Karakoram Highway is one of the most beautiful and treacherous routes in the world. It is a 1,300 km (807 mi) road stretching from Hasan Abdal, Pakistan to Kashgar, China. The road is known for its unmatchable scenic beauty and engineering marvel, as it passes through some of the world's highest mountain ranges, including the Karakoram mountain range and the Himalayas. It's also one of the most dangerous roads in the world, with the unpredictable weather, landslides and high altitude making the journey challenging and at times life threatening. Not to mention, the occasional river crossings on rickety wooden bridges. The route is often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world, as the views it offers are truly unforgettable and it's no wonder why its so popular amongst photographers.
