Thomas Edison National Historical Park

Thomas Edison National Historical Park, in West Orange, United States, is the location where Thomas Edison worked on some of his most influential creations. Located just 20 miles west of New York City, the park is dedicated to the life and works of the famed inventor. Open to the public, the historical site includes Edison's home, his laboratory complex and his machine shop. Visitors can tour the laboratory buildings and museum that explain his numerous inventions in depth. In addition, the park also offers several interactive exhibits and a gift shop. An outdoor area known as Menlo Park, takes visitors back in time to the 1880s, when Edison was working on some of his inventions. The National Historic Site also offers lectures and guided tours, providing an interesting and educational experience for all visitors.
