Built in 1209, it is the oldest stone church in the country. This Roman-style church is 114.3 feet (34.8 m) long and 87.6 feet (26.7 m) wide, featuring a single tower over half its length. Inside the church, there are wall paintings, some dating back to the 15th century, and a font from 1584. There is also a wooden pulpit dating back to 1681. St. Peter's Church is Rīga's second oldest church, and it is still an active place of worship.
