Old Fortress of Corfu

The Old Fortress of Corfu, located in Kerkyra (Corfu), Greece, is a large and imposing Venetian structure dating back to the 16th century. This magnificent fortress was built by the Venetians to reinforce and protect the city's defensive system against the Ottoman Empire. Today, the Old Fortress of Corfu is a popular tourist attraction in Greece and visitors get to explore its underground passages and secret trails. There are several towers, some of them offering amazing views of the city and the surrounding countryside; many of the towers are located at different levels, on top of old walls and buildings.
