Charyn canyon

Charyn Canyon, located in Tamerlik, Kazakhstan is a breathtaking sight that is sure to captivate any traveler or photographer. A narrow winding canyon carved from sedimentary rocks, the canyon is characterized by its steep red and yellow walls that form an awe-inspiring landscape. Covering an area of more than 8 km, the Charyn Canyon has some of its walls reaching up to 300m in height, creating an impressive backdrop. A hiking path runs down the canyon, allowing visitors to explore the terrain’s lush vegetation, petrified trees, and meandering curves. Although visitors may be tempted to take pictures of the stunning canyon, be mindful to stay on the path and refrain from entering the riverbed.
