Broadway Bridge

The Broadway Bridge is a steel arch bridge located in Portland, United States. It is located over the Willamette River Sewer Outlet and connects Tom McCall Waterfront Park (on the north side) and Old Town Chinatown (on the south side). Built in 1913, the bridge stands 110 feet above the river and carries two lanes of roadway. The bridge is designed in a neoclassical style, with each side having eight low-slung arches. A pedestrian and bicycle lane links the University of Portland campus and the popular Eastbank Esplanade. On the east side of the bridge is the Portland Japanese Garden, a five-acre Japanese Garden, and a photography spot known to have beautiful views of the bridge. Although the bridge’s steel structure and its north sidewalk are off-limits to the public, visitors can appreciate the bridge’s unique design and views of the city from underneath.
