Vizcaya Museum & Gardens

The Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is a cultural oasis set on Biscayne Bay in Miami, United States. The museum offers a look into the grandeur of one of the grand Gilded Age estates. It was built between 1914 and 1922 as the winter residence of agricultural industrialist James Deering. The estate’s treasures include a fascinating array of European and American art, furniture, and antiques. The gardens are just as impressive as the mansion and feature vast, manicured gardens and native woodland areas full of vivid plant life and sculptures. There are several hiking trails and picturesque pathways, and visitors are encouraged to explore the many nooks and crannies of the estate.
