The Porticato di San Giacomo Maggiore in Bologna, Italy is a fascinating sight to explore. This 13th-century cloister was built to accompany the San Giacomo Maggiore church. The portico is a large gallery featuring intricately detailed designs which were commissioned by the Della Scala family, which ruled Verona at the time. The inner part of the gallery also holds several beautiful arches which dissolve into a graceful oculus above.
