Palazzo Bonelli-Patané

The Palazzo Bonelli-Patané is an 18th century baroque style palace located in the historic city of Scicli, in Italy's southeastern province of Ragusa. Built in the mid-1700s and fully renovated in the early 20th century, the palace combines elements from the late Baroque style of the Val di Noto region, with the more Rococo-influenced aesthetic of other Ragusa region palaces. The building's facade is painted in the fine sandstone powder, which is typical of the Sicilian Baroque, and features an entrance gate with an ornate floral motif and an impressive, triple-arched loggia. The palace is home to the city's archaeological museum and boasts a beautiful, inner courtyard, where several important works of art have been housed.
