Old City Hall of Boston is an iconic and historic site located in the heart of the city. Constructed in 1865, the Romanesque-style building was designed by architects Edward T. Potter and Arthur H. Vinal. The building was named a National Historic Landmark in 1970 and served as City Hall until 1969, when it moved to a new building. Today, the building is home to City Hall Plaza, an outdoor public space with concerts, food vendors, and other events. The building also houses a few businesses and serves as an information hub for visitors. Outside, visitors can find a variety of public artwork, monuments, and sculptures that make for great photo opportunities. The building is open from 8am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday, and is a must-visit for all visitors to Boston.
