Marktplatz Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Marktplatz is a public square in the heart of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany. It is a traditional medieval market square that is situated between the Neumünster Church and the Old Town Hall. It is often referred to as the ‘Crown Of The Romantic Road’. Tourists marvel at the well-preserved, cobblestoned market square, which is surrounded by beautiful, half-timbered houses. Features of the square include the Fishing fountain and the Rathaus Cafe. The Plague Column is frequently photographed for its unique, imposing design. The annual Christkindlemarkt (Christmas market) is held here in the winter, drawing thousands of visitors.
